Parvati and Paromita’s experiences at
Odriew Restaurant
Parvati met Paromita, her childhood
friend, in the busy streets of Iannehc and they sauntered into Odriew
Restaurant to catch up with old times.
They sat down and beckoned to a
waiter. There were none in sight, except for a sweeper. They wondered if he had
seen a waiter. Promptly the scantily clad dirty urchin…
The
story continues…
…Wore the waiter’s jacket and with
a pad in hand enquired of the order.
A much bewildered Parvati asked for
another waiter.
Another urchin put on a waiter’s
jacket and enquired of the order. (Oops!)
A visibly upset Parvati and Paromita
asked to see the manager. (Dear, dear!)
Suitable chastened, the lad
disappeared and in a matter of a few seconds appeared once again, this time
fastidiously attired and said in chaste English, “Problem, ladies?” (Dear,
dear!)
Parvati, visibly red in the face,
threatened to close down the shop should this charade continue; all of which
was recorded and uploaded on YouTube. (Tsk, tsk)
At length, the manager arrived
nervously wringing his hands and explained that a joke had been played on them
by the management and ITC Kitchens of
India and if they could please return to their table they would be served a
spread fit for the Gods.
Tickled pink by the attentive
attendants, the duo left happily satisfied but not before being presented with
a hamper each with best compliments from the management and ITC Kitchens of India.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a nice day!
