Sharing and caring, eh? Double trouble by Kitchens
Of India!
On
a cool and wintery evening at Odriew Restaurant:
A couple saunter in on a cool
winter evening and stand dismayed. The restaurant is packed with guests.
Despite this, the management and ITC Kitchens of India decide to target
them for a good-humored prank.
There isn’t a table empty. So they
wait.
Soon enough, a waiter finds them a
place to eat. It is a four-seater. Just then another couple enters and is
seated at the same table as the couple. (Oops!)
The couple is bewildered. Optimum
utilization of time and space the waiter tells the couple. And would they hurry
up? There are others waiting. (Hee-haw!)
The couple begins eating quickly. (Make that double hee-haw!)
The waiter begs pardon to intrude
but might they be so kind as to share the food? There is a shortage of that
item, he explains and proceeds to serve the other couple from the same dish.
(Blink, blink!)
Bewilderment mounts to consternation
at the affront. All this and much else is recorded and uploaded on YouTube.
(Tsk, tsk)
But hello, what’s this? Another
couple looking over them, impatiently? As if in cue, the waiter comes in with
the bill even though the couple hasn’t finished eating! (Dear, dear!)
The guest demands to meet the
manager ASAP! As he rises, the couple sits down! (Gawd, what’s going on here?!)
At length a much harried manager
arrives and tells him that it was all in jest and if he would be so kind as to
wait a minute or two, they would be escorted to private chambers for a
wonderful feast fit for the Gods with best compliments from the management and ITC Kitchens of India?
Thank you!
Have a nice meal!
