Maggie Plays Chupa Chupi With Bro And MAGGI (Wink, wink)

Big bro is playing chupa chupi with me. I love the game. Bro hides behind a duppatta  and I uncover it to find him. It’s such fun. I am gurgling with laughter. He does it all the time but I never tire of the game.

Then he shows me a packet of MAGGI Atta Noodles. I am so happy. I reach for it. But he hides it somewhere behind his back. (Oh, dear!)

Now this is getting serious. (Tsk, tsk)

Where is my MAGGI? It’s behind his back. I pull his arm. He brings it forward. His hand is empty. And then he brings the other hand out too. That hand is empty too. How can it be? Where is my MAGGI?

I realize that I have been duped, that my MAGGI is lost forever. My smile turns into a heart-crunching wail. My whole world is crumbling down. How can I live without MAGGI? Where did the packet go? How will I eat MAGGI now? (Dear me!)

Mummy and daddy are watching the scene with amusement, all of which is recorded and uploaded on YouTube! (Dear, dear)

Big bro, wiping the tears from my eyes, gives me a kiss…

…and shows me a packet of MAGGI Noodles!

My voice is querulous as I ask him in a language best understood by babies to please not play such games with me. It’s not funny. (Tsk, tsk)

Big bro gives me the packet and I reach out to kiss him back. Bro is so good. (Muah!)

All’s well that ends well.

Not surprisingly, the day is saved by MAGGI Noodles, once again! (Wink, wink)

We Are A Happy Family (Tee hee)

Daddy, he loves mummy, mummy, she loves daddy

And they both love big bro, and me, Maggie

So, we are a happy family

I wish them both to always be so silly

Oh, what a time was that

When we loved our dogs and pussy cats

As we all sat to watch the IPL match!  (Tee hee)

Maggie's Experiment With The Phone

It’s a hot and sunny Sunday. Daddy is tinkering with his phone’s camera as an idea hits him straight between his eyes.

He dials a number from his mobile and the landline phone rings. (Huh? What’s up, Bro?)

Maggie, who was up until then content with her toy house springs up and walks as fast as her little feet could take her. She is laughing all the way. She climbs up the sofa and reaches out for the phone.

Maggie picks up the phone and baby talks in a language only understood by babies. (Oh, dear)

The whole family is in splits but it’s lost on Maggie as she is loving it! (Dear, dear)

Daddy and baby are engaged in a banter when mummy comes with some curd rice and so daddy continues to play with Maggie. She baby talks and ma quickly puts a spoonful of food into her mouth.

Baby unmindful eats it and baby talks with her daddy. Everybody is laughing now and Maggie understands why. She’s having the time of her life talking over the phone and they are all happy for her. (Tsk, tsk)

The food is done and mummy leaves relieved. (Still more tsk, tsk)

Daddy ends the conversation and stops talking. Maggie is silent for a few minutes and then she realizes that she has been duped and then pours her heart out in the wail that follows, (Oh, dear!) all of which is recorded and uploaded on YouTube. (Dear, dear!)

Big bro comes to her aid. He phones her and they talk for, what seems like, ages. Maggie is happy and so is bro. Maggie plants a moist kiss on big bro’s cheeks as they continue to talk. Daddy takes a picture of the innocent, loving pair at their loving best.

“All’s well that ends well,” as someone once said.

But, hello, where’s MAGGI?

(Wink, wink)

Say, What Do You Want To Be?

When I Grow Up I want to be…

Mummy wants me to be a singer

And Daddy a dancer too

Brother thinks I’m a fine bowler

WHAT DO I DO?

I sing when I am happy

And dance a few steps too

I play cricket when I’m most happy

THAT’S WHAT I WILL DO!

Say, what do you want to be? (Wink, wink!)

There’s A Chicken In The Kitchen (Tee- Hee)

Mommy, there’s a chicken in the kitchen

I saw it while ma was baking muffins

For daddy and bro and Maggie too

It takes an hour while Maggi takes minutes two

Then Maggi is what Ma’ll be making soon.

There’s a match to watch tonight not afternoon!

Heck! Where's Maggie?

It’s a warm and sunny Sunday morning. Daddy is reading the newspaper while mummy is busy dusting the living room.

It’s quiet in the Gupta household. Daddy asks mummy if she has seen Maggie.

Alarm bells start ringing when they both realize that they haven’t seen her. Big brother has gone for tennis practice, they know, so where is she?

Then they hear some noise from the …

…kitchen!

They rush to the kitchen and find Maggie sitting on the floor, her hands full of grubby noodles, her clothes are dirty.

At the commotion, Maggie looks up (hic) to see mamma and papa staring and laughing at the scene.

Maggie joins them laughing as she digs into the noodles once again.

Ma lifts her up while Maggie protests loudly. (Oh, dear!)

Her voice grows louder and louder as mummy sets about to clean her. She washes her hands and face and makes her wear fresh clothes.

But Maggie is adamant to scream and bring the house down, (Oh, dear!) all of which is recorded and uploaded on YouTube. (Dear, dear!)

Ma soothes her and says she will give her MAGGI Noodles but not in the kitchen. Food is eaten at the dining table, she says firmly, as she plants a sweet kiss on baby’s cheeks.

Maggie is mollified as Ma brings her, her favorite yellow plate with a few strings of mashed MAGGI Atta Noodles and tells her to eat it.

A delighted Maggie digs into her plate and puts both her hands into her mouth that can hold just one hand full of food at a time.

Ma is never tired as she watches her youngest child learning the first lessons of eating with her fingers.

Baby is happy as she relishes her favorite food. She loves mummy and daddy and big bro, and of course, MAGGI Noodles!

The moral of the story? If Maggie cries and is adamant about her choice of food, MAGGI Noodles will set it right!  It always does, for the Guptas, at least.

And you? (Wink, wink)

What would make your child eat her/his food? Share with us on the space below. We’d love to hear from you. (Wink, wink)

My Name Is Maggie, Spelt With An ‘e’

My name is Maggie with an “e”

Bro named me after MAGGI so I let it be

I quite like it anyway

The name it came to be they say

One hot and sunny Sunday

They tease me no end every minute of every day

But today eating MAGGI while we watch IPL is how I’ll have my way ( Tee Hee)
