Baby’s Not Eating! Can Maggi help?

Flashback

It’s 7 p.m., on a rainy Saturday evening.

Ma is having trouble feeding baby khichadi. 

Ma shows her the dog, quick a spoonful of food into her mouth. 

Baby wants to get down. Mother holds her tightly and then she shows her a kitten, food inside her mouth. (Tsk, tsk) 

Baby protests, okay, let’s count cars, food in her mouth (Tsk, tsk)

It takes one hour to give her five teaspoons of food. (Still more tsk, tsk)

Ma is tired and frustrated (Oh, dear)...

...all of which is recorded and uploaded in YouTube (Dear, dear)

Papa, a mute spectator, has a suggestion: cook all the vegetables that she doesn’t like and put it in Nestle’s Maggi Masala Noodles.

Ma thinks it is a wonderful idea. But will it work?

Nestle’s Nescafe And Maggi Noodles Does It Again ( Heh heh)

It’s a hot and sunny Sunday morning. 

At last, a holiday (Ooph)

A couple of young lads enter a restaurant, one of whom has been identified for a good-natured prank by the management and Nestle.

The young man signals to a waiter and asks, “What is special today?”

The waiter beams and says, “If you drink ten cups of coffee each, within an hour, you will get another five free. And that’s not all, you will get a free cup of coffee everyday for a full year on the house.”

The men are excited. They accept the challenge.

The waiter leaves and the boys laugh. Remember college? They guzzled booze like drinking water. What’s ten cups plus five? (Hah!)

Shortly, the waiter arrived with...

...wait a minute, those cups were very, very big! (Tsk, tsk)

They had the first four easily and then began to feel sick! (Dear, dear) all of which was recorded and uploaded on YouTube. (Dear me!)

After another two rounds they looked jaundiced and accepted defeat.

The waiter went inside and came out with a bill for 15 cups of coffee each. The men were too weak to protest. (Oh, dear)

The men were about to leave when the manager arrived and said that a prank was played on them by the management and Nestle and that all of them could have their money refunded and that’s not all: they could get a free cup of coffee everyday for the whole year with best compliments from the management and Nestle’s Nescafé. And would they be so kind as to each accept a hamper of Nestle’s Maggi Noodles?Thanks for your sportsmanship. Have a nice day,.

Nestle’s Nescafe Saves The Day, Though Maggi Noodles Takes The Cake

It’s a hot and sunny Friday morning. 

Thank God, it’s Friday.   (Phew!)

A middle-aged gent enters a restaurant. He has been identified for some good-natured prank by the management and Nestle

The gent wipes the sweat from his face while a waiter puts the air conditioner on full blast. The gent expresses his gratitude and asks for a hot cup of coffee. The waiter makes a quick exit..

...and comes out quite quickly. The waiter tells the man that it’s Nescafé. Does he like the art on the cup of coffee? 

The man says sure, it looks like a logo of Nestle. 

The waiter goes in and comes out with the bill and a file.

The waiter presents him the bill and a fine.

The gent is perplexed. What fine, he asks.

You drank the logo, says the waiter

The good gent splutters and he begins to sound hysterical.

The waiter is unmoved. Would you drink our national flag? No, no? He opens the file and shows him some legalese. Company policy, Sir.

The gent turns an ugly blue. He wants to see the manager asap (oh, dear!) all of which is recorded and uploaded on YouTube (dear, dear)

The manager comes in nervously wringing his hands

“How can I help you,” he asks.

The gent gives him an earful and threatens to take them to court. (Tsk, tsk)

The manager apologises and says a joke was played on him by the management and Nestle and would he be so kind as to accept a hamper of Nescafé and Maggi Noodles with best compliments from Nestle. Thank you, vannakkum. The gent is happy and leaves. 

All’s well that ends well...

...until the next time...(wink, wink)

Throw the Maggi, Throw.

Throw the Maggi, Throw. No? (Sigh!)


On a hot, sunny morning, Didi has come to play with Baby. Papa thinks it would be interesting to observe the goings-on.

Ma is feeding Baby. Baby doesn't want to eat. Ma distracts her by watching the birds and dogs strolling outside...

..to no avail. (Tsk, tsk)

Didi gives Baby a cup and tells Baby to throw it out the window. Baby throws it, much to everyone's delight....

...and Ma pops a teaspoon of food into Baby's mouth.

The maid runs down to fetch it. Baby claps her hands with delight. This is such fun!

Didi then gives Baby a glass. Baby is happy  and throws it too.

This seems to be a nice game. The maid runs down to fetch it again.

Then Didi gives Baby a Maggi Noodles packet and asks her to throw it. The Baby isn't amused. (Oh, dear!)

Baby's lips pucker up as she lets out a wail, (Dear, dear!)  all of which is recorded and uploaded on YouTube (Oh, dear!)

Everybody is in splits though Baby cannot understand why. (Uh-oh!)

Didi hugs Baby and gives Baby the packet to keep.

Baby gurgles with joy, tears mixing with mucus.

All is well, and yes, Maggi Noodles does it again! ( Muah!)

Baby, Barbie and Maggi

It's a hot and sunny Sunday. The ac is humming gently in the background.

Ma is making Maggi Noodles for breakfast. Baby takes out her Barbie Kitchen Set. She wants to make Maggi Noodles for Barbie and Ken.

Papa thinks this could be a fun topic to film. (Hee-haw!)

Baby voices her demand for some Noodles.

Ma says no, it's not ready yet.

But Baby protests loudly.

Ma, too, is firm. (Oh, dear!)

In the meantime, Baby's lips pucker up to let out a wail, all of which is recorded and uploaded on YouTube. (Oh, dear!)

Ma relents and puts some water and Noodles on the wok.

Baby is happy, but what's this, the Noodles is not cooking! (Dear, dear!)

She lets out a wail all of which continues to be recorded and uploaded on YouTube. (Tsk, tsk)

Finally, the noodles is ready and Ma gives Baby a kiss and her plate of Maggi Noodles.

Teary-eyed Baby eats her breakfast sharing Maggi Noodles with the starving Barbie and Ken.

All's well that ends well.

Ma, Please May I Have Some Maggi?


It's dinner-time one hot and sultry evening.  Ma decides to tease Baby. Papa is ready with the smartphone.

Ma carries Baby in her arms to the kitchen to warm the food.

She takes a spoonful of gravy and pretends to cool it to give it to Baby.

Baby opens her mouth gurgling in anticipation. She opens her mouth but Ma sips it clean. (Dear, dear!)

She adds some salt and tries again.

Baby salivates as she opens her mouth in anticipation again.

Ma ignores Baby again.  (Dear, dear!)

Baby's objection grows loud. (Oh, dear!)

And louder...(Dear me!)

And louder...(Tsk, tsk)

...all of which is recorded and uploaded on YouTube. (Dear, dear!)

Ma starts laughing and Papa too. She hugs and kisses Baby and gives her a spoonful of gravy. Baby is happy and more so when Ma gives her a packet of unopened Maggi Noodles.

Did I hear someone say, Maggi Noodles saves the day, again? (Hm...)

Ma Or Maggi?

What's In A Name? Maggi!


Ma and Papa are having a competition. Ma is holding Baby in her arms when she says, "Say, Ma."

Baby finds the food on the plate more interesting and she says gleefully, "Maddi!"

"No, Ma. M...aaa. Ma."

"Maddi"

"No, Ma"

Baby is now restlessly shaking her arms and legs about. "Maddi, Maddi," she says.

Ma says, "No, say, Ma."

Baby objects...(Oh, dear)

Louder...(Dear me!)

And louder (Dear, dear)...

...all of which is recorded and updated on YouTube. (Tsk, tsk!)

Ma at last laughs and  gives in.  To pacify Baby, she hugs and kisses her and gives her a bite of Maggi Noodles. (Yaay, it worked!)

Now, it's Papa's turn. But, what's this? Before he can start, Baby lets out a wail. She wants Maddi...

...and Ma has Maddi. (Oh, dear!)

Papa hastily puts Baby in Ma's arms.

And Ma laughs as she feeds Baby a little bit of mashed Maggi Noodles.

Baby is happy. She bites Ma's cheeks with wet lips showing her how much she loves Maggi.

Baby loves Ma, Papa, Bro, and The Happy Family loves Maggi Noodles. (Muah!)

Who won, you ask?

Maggi, of course! It's always Maggi and no one knows that better than Ma. (Wink, wink!)
