Gimme more! - Ready-to-eat ITC Kitchens of India

Gimme more

-   A mother’s experiments with Ready-to-eat Kitchens of India

Why is mummy giving me ragi? Where’s my food? (Wah!)

Baby’s crying? Quick! Give her a spoonful of KOI.

Baby’s salivating…

Good. Now pop in another spoon of ragi...

 Baby wails…!

Pop another spoonful of KOI.

Baby salivates, the saliva drooling off her moist mouth as she satisfies herself one last time.

And then…

Gurgles in sleep and her mouth puckers up as if she is sucking.

A dimpled smile now and then…

Oh, good. It worked!

Health bhi, taste bhi.

Satisfied by her experiment, mummy calls the grocer’s for another packet of ready-to-eat ITC Kitchens of India. (Hee haw!)

KOI - the ones with a big heart!

Big hearted Ready-to-eat ITC Kitchens of India

Odriew Restaurant – the one with a big heart

On one of those hot and sunny days, when the management and ITC Kitchens of India were playing their pranks, two young urchins peered through the fine glass windows to see what the guests were having. They hadn’t eaten for a while now, eating what they found in dustbins and leftovers.

The manager sees them and beckons them to come through the rear door.

The urchins, thinking they were going to be suitably chastised, beat a swift retreat.

What then ensues is a chor-police game with the waiters and the urchins, all of which is recorded and uploaded on YouTube. (Hee haw!)

After a lengthy cat and mouse game, the huffing marathoners catch up with the boys and explain that there is a surprise in store for them and would they not run anymore?

Big eyes peer into the kitchen with years of pain writ all over their faces as the chef gives them a bit of food and tells the still unconvinced boys to go ahead and eat.

The boys eat as if it was their first ever meal and beat a hasty retreat, lest the chef engage them in some unsavory work.

The management and ITC Kitchens of India pat the employees for a good day’s work as the staff sit down to a quiet meal of some of the food, cooked in honor, and for, the guests.

Goes to show that atithi seva begins at home, doesn’t it? (Wink, wink)

Baby's First Taste of Ready-to-eat Kitchens of India

Baby’s First Taste of Ready-to-Eat KOI

Mummy and dada have woken me up with all that noise!

Good grief, woman! I’ve just woken up from my 11 o’clock nap!  Will you stop coochikooing me and give me something to eat?

No, not the milk bottle, silly! Baby wants to eat! Wah!

Does it take a woman 10,000 failed attempts to get this simple thing right?

Oh, goody. Mummy just gave me a lick of some ready-to-eat KOI gravy…

Umm…

Dribble…

 Then gurgle …

…and then zzzzzzzzzzzz.

And a dimple smile here with a gurgle there…

No prizes for guessing what I am dreaming about!

Complete the Story Contest:

On a cool, summer afternoon at Odriew Restaurant:

On a cool summer afternoon, a couple saunter in to the Odriew Restaurant. They have been identified for a good-humored prank by the management and ITC Kitchens of India.

The affable young gent beckons to a waiter to take the order. After due consultation with his significant other, the gent places the order.

At length, the meal is served.

“Served”, did I say? The waiter wants the guest to smell the dish. (Huh?)…

A Baby's Day with Kitchens of India

A Baby’s Experience with Kitchens of India

Daddy is scolding mummy. KOI not healthy for baby…

Mummy is eating fruits that daddy has cut.

Enough of healthy, dada! Give me something tasty.

Mummy thinks like me too!

I’m having KOI! Oh, yeah!

Did you feel that, asks the wife? I think the baby just kicked…!
