Work vs. Family

Work vs. Family

So much has been written about this topic, yet recent events compel me to write about it anyway.

I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for 21 years and have just started going out. My daughter who is fiercely independent and perfectly capable of taking care of herself, protested, saying  that I was going out too often these days!

You are never too old to want attention.

I feel the heat, do you?

I feel the heat, do you?

All conditions being conducive, after being subjected to what degree of heat would you call a piece of carbon a diamond?

A Nation, or a Farm of "Headless Chickens"?

A Nation, or a Farm of “Headless Chickens”?

A nation has several requirements: a defence ministry, finance ministry, home ministry, a robust economy... I’m sure you can fill in the blanks. For it to prosper, all the ministries must respect each other and work in harmony.

But you see, that’s the crux of the matter:

In our haste to move ahead quickly, we get so caught up with our need to subjugate the other and indulge in other sundry dramas, that we lose sight of the vision, the vision of collectively serving the nation, our agency, well.

The Arch within the Arch

The Arch within the Arch

We all know that we should  be frenetically searching for the one big idea for our brand that could help us win a metal; the one big metal that could win us big clients; the one big client that could win us praise from our worldwide group head... you get the drift?

And yet we lose sight of that one big idea.

Funny, don’t you think?

1947

1947

Those who were born around the time India became free, know the import of the word ‘Freedom’.

What a pity its significance is lost on the subsequent generations.
